September 2023 - Thank You Volunteers
As we begin another school year, it is only fitting that we take time to acknowledge and recognize all the amazing volunteers that spent countless hours making a positive impact in our schools. Our volunteers are selfless individuals who donate their time and energy to making our schools a better place. Being a volunteer takes patience, dedication, and commitment.
We truly have the best volunteers!
School District of Beloit volunteers provide support in and out of the classroom, before and after school, in our school pantries, during school field trips, and in a wide variety of school activities. No matter what the task is, our volunteers are willing to pull up their sleeves and lend a helping hand.
School District of Beloit volunteers become part of our SDB family and help support the needs of our students. Our students look forward to our volunteers coming into our schools. They love interacting with them and truly appreciate the help they provide.
Whether it’s a family member volunteering for a field trip; a college student helping in an after school program; a retired teacher reading to a student; a community member mentoring and tutoring a student; or a community partner providing classroom presentations; each and every volunteer is making a difference in the lives of our students.
Importance of Volunteering
Volunteering is beneficial for our students, staff, and our school community. Volunteers add value to our school community by providing help, outreach, and above all volunteering their valuable time to make a difference. They create and strengthen connections with our students and staff. They are a vital part of our schools.

Our District is lucky to have nearly 1,200 volunteers, they are a big part of our success. We embrace and value their work and commitment to our students. There is a wonderful quote by Elizabeth Andrew, “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” We thank our volunteers for their heart and time.

Los voluntarios brindan apoyo dentro y fuera de nuestras aulas, antes y después de la escuela, en nuestras despensas escolares, durante las excursiones escolares y en una variedad de actividades. No importa cuál sea la tarea, nuestros voluntarios están dispuestos a ayudar.
