Community Survey Information

  • The School District of Beloit Board of Education, aligned with the Administration and staff, has launched a Community Listening Survey as part of its responsibility to plan for the future. Like many districts across Wisconsin, Beloit faces ongoing challenges shaped by state revenue limits, enrollment trends, and growing costs. The Board is considering all available options for addressing challenges, which could include a 2026 referendum. In recent years, referendum attempts in Beloit have not been approved, so the District has not added local funding beyond what the state provides. While no proposal has been developed or voted on, community input from this survey will help the Board better understand priorities as it plans for the future.

    • Survey links open through Sept. 30, 2025, at 5 p.m.
    • Takes 6–10 minutes to complete; responses are anonymous unless a name is shared.
    • Online and print versions are available. If printed, please send your completed survey to: KOLAK EDUCATION CENTER 1500 4th Street Beloit, WI 53511 Attn: Michelle Shope
  • SDB BOE

  • Online Survey: English
  • Print Survey: English
  • Encuesta en línea: Español
  • Imprimir encuesta: Español
  • The survey is not designed to influence voting or advocate for or against any potential referendum ballot question(s). Responses may be subject to disclosure under Wisconsin’s Public Records Law.

“We want to hear from everyone in Beloit. Parents, students, educators, staff, business owners, organizational leaders, child care providers, grandparents, and residents all have a voice in shaping our schools,” said Tia Johnson, Board President. “It is also our responsibility to listen to the students we serve, the staff who teach and support them, and the administration that guides our schools each day. This collective input helps us understand priorities and plan for the future success of the School District of Beloit.”
