Beloit Board of Education to Host Table Talks at Library
The School District of Beloit Board of Education will host its second Table Talks event, scheduled for 6:15 — 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21 in the community room at Beloit Public Library, 605 Eclipse Blvd.
The event is meant to offer an opportunity for meaningful dialogue among families, students, educators and stakeholders.
“We want to promote collaboration and partnership, gather feedback, enhance understanding, and build trust within our community,” said Board President Tia Johnson. “We want to empower all stakeholders to actively participate in shaping our students’ educational experience, and that begins with listening and learning from each other.”
Board members and school district administrators will team up at tables to listen to ideas, gather feedback, and answer questions.
“My hope is that this setup will encourage people to talk and share their thoughts about education, school programs, community involvement, and more. We will not have a formal presentation; our goal is simply to connect with everyone who joins us,” Johnson added.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions, suggestions, and enthusiasm. Registration is not required, and light refreshments will be provided. Spanish interpreters will be available to assist our Spanish-speaking community.
