Ryan Stengl to be Presented to the Board of Education for Approval as Principal of Fruzen Middle School

Beloit, Wisconsin, July 10, 2024 – Superintendent Dr. Willie E. Garrison II announced that Mr. Ryan Stengl's candidacy for Principal at Fruzen Middle School will be presented to the Board of Education at the Tuesday, July 16 Board meeting for approval. Garrison highlighted that after a selection process involving interviews, a presentation, and a writing prompt, Stengl emerged as the standout candidate.

"With his proven leadership abilities, unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence, and successful track record in creating supportive learning environments for both staff and students, Mr. Stengl is exceptionally well-suited to lead Fruzen Middle School into its next chapter of growth and achievement," stated Garrison.

Stengl earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from UW-Madison in 2005, followed by a master of science degree in school counseling from Marquette University in 2007 and a master in science degree in educational leadership from Cardinal Stritch University in 2013. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education degree from Edgewood College, slated for completion in 2025. Before joining the School District of Beloit in 2019 as Assistant Principal at Converse Elementary, Stengl served as a school counselor for seven years and an instructional coach for four years.

Looking ahead to his new role, Stengl expressed eagerness to engage with staff, students, and families. "Fruzen Middle School is home to many dedicated and talented individuals, and I am eager to collaborate with them to continue promoting academic excellence and student growth," he remarked. Stengl outlined his top priorities as enhancing student academic achievement and growth, building strong staff relationships, and a positive school culture. "I intend to be visible, approachable, and attentive to the needs of our school community," Stengl affirmed.

Garrison added, "Mr. Stengl’s innovative approaches and strategic initiatives will contribute significantly to enhancing Fruzen’s culture and overall performance. I am confident that his skills, experience, and passion for education will drive positive outcomes.”
