BMHS Tennis Player Alex Funk Wins at No. 1

Beloit Memorial’s No. 1 singles play Alex Funk got Monday’s match with Burlington started off in the right direction, but the Demons ruled the day after that.

Funk defeated Jaxon Grant, 6-1, 6-2, but Burlington captured the Southern Lakes Conference match 6-1.

 

Burlington’s No. 2 singles player Benji Rauch defeated Anthony Ferrera, 6-0, 6-0. Ben Panackal of the Demons downed Nick Ostenson-Zweifel, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 3 and Joe Lois defeated Connor Ludlum at No. 4, 6-1, 6-1.

Burlington swept the doubles matches. No. 1 Mitchell Crabtree and Christopher Naber defeated Francisco Rebolledo-Valdez and Abraham Perez-Guzman, 6-1 , 6-2. At No. 2, Ian Nie and Evan Deans defeated Gabe Hellen and Mohanad Nabhan, 6-0 , 6-0. At No. 3, Porter Tiedt and Grant Sulik downed Alex Aleman and Daniel Guevaral, 6-1 , 6-0.
