BELOIT — The Beloit Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) recently presented five DAR Good Citizen awards. The DAR Good Citizens Award is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship.

This award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. These students are selected by their teachers and peers because they demonstrate these qualities to an outstanding degree.

The recipients are Jamir Guevara of Beloit Memorial High School, Samuel Turner of Rock County Christian School, Cyrus Mosher of Beloit Turner High School, Hailey Beeman of Parkview High School and Junior ROTC Outstanding Cadet Summer Thompson of Beloit Memorial High School.
