WCLO: Local students win Milwaukee Bucks theme night contest
Some Beloit Memorial High School students break into the marketing business thanks to a contest hosted by the Milwaukee Bucks.
Beloit Memorial High School Business, Personal Finance, and Entrepreneurship teacher Tony Capozziello says two teams participated a competition to design at theme night for the professional basketball team.
Jaheim Harrell, Paul Allen, Griffin Oberneder, and Ryan Mechanic were the overall winners of the contest for their idea for an “Inside Out Night” to raise awareness about mental health concerns.
The marketing plan submitted by the students included encouraging fans to wear their jerseys inside out, having a buddy for the game, interactive half-time games, and selling inside out t-shirts.
The students will be recognized at Wednesday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
