The volleyball team wasn’t the only Beloit Memorial squad celebrating Wednesday night. The Knights soccer team defeated Sun Prairie West at Jacobson Field to improve to 8-3-2 overall and 3-1-2 in the Big Eight.
Baylor Denu tallied two first-half goals and Pablo Guzman made it 3-1 at the 72:50 mark before the Wolves’ Tyler Nelson scored.
“It was a dominating performance from whistle to whistle,” Beloit head coach Brian Denu said. “It was a great bounce back after a few tough games.”
Beloit goalie Beckham Denu posted five saves. Denu said he was impressed with the play of Pablo Guzman, Danny Bruno, Eduardo Gonzalez-Terrero and Kevin Garcia.
