Beloit Memorial High School is a four-year comprehensive school for grades 9 - 12. The school day at Beloit Memorial starts at 7:55 am and ends at 3:30 pm. Our average class size is 28 students with an enrollment of 1,700 students and 130 full-time certified staff. 80% of our graduating students continue their education once leaving Beloit Memorial High School. Our Mascot is the Purple Knight and our school colors are purple & white.
Beloit Memorial offers a rigorous curriculum in an Academy system. The Academy system provides all students the advanced skills they need to be successful, productive citizens in college, career, and life. Academies create small learning environments that organize and develop College and Career programming pathways as choices for students. Each Pathway is a sequence of courses designed to help students prepare for a specific career area while also meeting the mandatory requirements for high school graduation.
In addition to the Academy structure, Beloit Memorial offers a variety of opportunities for students to receive college-level credits for Advanced Placement coursework, and through additional college level programming such as articulated, transcripted, and dual credit courses. Beloit Memorial also offers a myriad of electives beyond the core and College and Career educational offerings.
The mission of Beloit Memorial High School, a high performing diverse learning community, is to prepare and empower each student to compete and achieve to one's potential in a changing global society by engaging students in challenging diversified and relevant educational experiences.

Welcome to the 2022 - 2023 school year! The staff at BMHS is excited for the first day of school on September 1st, and the anticipation of students back in our hallways and classrooms has us looking forward to what is going to be an excellent school year!
The vision of BMHS is that all students will graduate college, career, and community ready, and demonstrate the 6 traits of our Portrait of a Graduate. To meet this goal, it is our responsibility as educators at BMHS to prepare each student for exceptional post-secondary learning, and to prepare our students for the careers they are passionate to experience. We are committed to aligning our work with our vision and mission to provide students high quality instruction in an environment that reflects high expectations, is safe, supportive, and inclusive. We look forward to cultivating strong relationships between home and school so that we can work collaboratively to ensure the ultimate success of our students.
I will be communicating weekly with you through our school newsletter, The Knight News. Please also check your email and our website frequently for updates. This letter contains important information regarding the start of the school year. Please read it carefully and review the information with your teen.

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! I am looking forward to an incredible and productive school year for our students, families, and staff. We are excited to return to five full days of in-person instruction in the building, and many opportunities to support our students socially, emotionally and academically.
As Freshman Academy Principal for students whose last name starts with A-L, I am excited to support the whole school community to ensure that 9th grade students experience a smooth transition to high school and are able to take full advantage of the many excellent opportunities available to them at Beloit Memorial High School. Freshman year is a perfect year to explore and...start Fresh! New beginnings can be intimidating but they also provide everyone an opportunity to grow into the person they strive to become.
To help ensure student success in this new year, the BMHS team is committed to providing every student with a safe, caring, and positive learning environment that encourages each student to reach their full potential and achieve our goal of graduating every student college, career, and community ready. Through our focused commitment to excellence in all that we do, we will strive to support the social emotional wellbeing of our students and provide the best educational experience possible, with the expectation that all students can learn and succeed. BMHS students will be provided with rigorous and engaging learning experiences, as well as ongoing opportunities to connect with the school community so a sense of belonging is cultivated, with educational equity as a foundation for each.
I am excited about all that this new school year has to offer and look forward to our partnership so that BMHS students are provided with the best educational experience possible. I truly believe that a strong and positive school and home partnership encourages each student to strive for success and achieve more.
