Technology Education and Learning Support (TEALS) is a Microsoft Philanthropies program that builds sustainable computer science (CS) programs in high schools.
BMHS has an exciting opportunity for our students. We are investing in our students by partnering with Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS Program to offer Introduction to Computer Science during the 2024-2025 school year.
We Need Your Help! As a TEALS partner school, BMHS needs tech professionals to volunteer to team-teach this course with our teacher. We need to recruit up to four volunteers to support the teaching of this class during the first year.
Expectations: Volunteers are expected to participate in the class at least one day a week. Volunteers with strong backgrounds in computer science and programming are the foundation of the TEALS program. Our volunteers help expand students' career horizons through new computer science skills and opportunities. BMHS will schedule the course at the beginning of the day, making it possible for volunteers to go to work after volunteering.
Interested In Making A Difference? Please contact Kelley Grorud (kgrorud@sdb.k12.wi.us) or apply at Microsoft.com/TEALS. Microsoft will provide training to volunteers who are accepted into the partnership.
