The Collegiate Academy is a program that allows highly focused and motivated students to accelerate their career path by taking advanced coursework, articulated classes and courses on the campus of Blackhawk Technical College. Completion of the Collegiate Academy will result in the attainment of a Technical Diploma or an Associate Degree upon high school graduation.
Collegiate Academy Timeline

8th grade: Maintain strong grades and take advanced English and Math courses. Signup for the Summer Bridge Program. Obtain a graduation plan from your counselor that matches the Collegiate Academy you intend to apply to and build your schedule from that.
Freshman year: Maintain excellent grades and attendance in all courses in your graduation plan. Participate in Academic and Career Planning activities and build your ACP portfolio.
Sophomore year: Earn qualifying scores on the ACT Aspire test, then submit an application for admission to your chosen Collegiate Academy. Apply to Blackhawk Technical College (BTC) and enroll in courses matching your Collegiate Academy path.
Junior year: Take the majority or all classes at BTC. Maintain excellent grades. Remember to meet all program deadlines especially Start College Now.
Senior year: Take the majority or all classes at BTC. Maintain excellent grades. Remember to meet all program deadlines, especially Start College Now.
