The Beloit Memorial High School junior is an accomplished singer and branched out from performing the National Anthem at various Purple Knight sporting events last year to singing at a Rockford University basketball game and before Beloit Sky Carp games this past summer.

Girls on the Run Empowering Students at Converse, Gaston, Robinson and Todd
There’s a nine-week season that culminates in a 5K walk and run event in Waunakee. Each day, groups have a 90-minute practice. There are lessons on life skills like empathy, how to be a good friend and decision making. Discussions on those topics are followed by a running activity, like relays or games of tag.

BMHS Team Headed to Make48 Nationals
The Purple Knights won first place for their idea that aided farmers in their crop drying time. Ray Watkins, Moises Guerrero Sandoval, Dulce Figueroa, and Brooklyn Watkins collaborated on their modular design for the farming community. Not only does it save time and money, but it’s environmentally friendly.
