    • ABC Playgroup

      ABC Playgroups are a new addition to Beloit Elementary Schools. A group of 8-10 children and their families are invited to play once a week with a volunteer from the Beloit Public Library. These groups include a story time followed by crafts and games. These playgroups have been shown to boost early literacy skills in a fun, family oriented, play-based, enviroment. Family resources are also available. Fall ABC Playgroups run from October 6 - December 15.       FROM THE PRINCIPAL 

      Parents and Guardians,
       
      It is hard to believe we are coming upon a new year. I want to thank all of you for your support of your children and Robinson School! I am proud of our community and the partnership we have. Thank you to all that are involved with volunteering here in the PTO, classrooms, and for events.
       
      Last year, we welcomed Dr. Cole and his wife who brought the YES! (Young Eagles Soar) club to our school. Dr. Cole uses music and positive messages to inspire social emotional growth in our students. He works with students through our after school program and the response has been an overwhelming YES! 
       
      I am so excited to launch a new literacy initiative that will involve our entire school family: Read 100,000. As a school community we will set out to read 100,000 books this year and we will have an awesome celebration when we hit that target. Reading is one of the best indicators of future success in your student. We are excited to help every child be ready for their future. 
       
      Again, thank you for your support! I look forward to seeing you here at Robinson this year!

      Greetings from the Robinson School PTO! 
       
      We can all agree that the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of Robinson School is for the benefit of our children. But did you know volunteering can enable you to learn new skills? Better yet, volunteering for PTO would really look great on a job resume. Volunteering can make it easier for you to meet parents, teachers and others who make up the school staff. Volunteering shows your children that you are an active partner with Robinson School.
       
      Why not attend a meeting to find out where YOU can utilize, share and develop your talents? YOUR ideas and suggestions are welcome! There are no dues to pay!
       
      You may submit your name, phone and/or email if you would like to volunteer There is a sign-up sheet in the Robinson School office.
