Welcome back to another exciting year of learning and growth at Converse!

I am thrilled to begin our learning journey this year alongside our amazing and supportive staff. Our staff is dedicated to supporting all of our learners throughout their experience at Converse! If you are new to our school or district, welcome to our school community. We are happy to have you!

I am honored to serve as the principal of Converse School, a school community where students, staff, and families work together to support each other throughout the learning and growth process. Together we can work to collectively support academic and social and emotional success for all of our students.

Dear School District of Beloit Families,

My name is Mercedes Viramontes and I am the Family Advocate at Converse Elementary and Hackett Elementary. 

Welcome to a new school year! I look forward to working with you and your child(ren). As your Bilingual Home School Liaison, I am here to assist you and your family during the school year.

My goals for this school year are:
   - Create a relationship of familiarity and companionship.
   - Provide information about resources available within our District and our community.
   - Translate and interpret school business for you.
   - Inform you about school events, activities, conferences, and more.
   - Share the District's health-related information.
   - Collaborate with you and your child(ren)’s teacher to address any questions or concerns.
