UW Madison Visit

A group of 12 BMHS young women visited UW Madison to learn more about nuclear engineering. They toured several of the engineering buildings, engaged with a panel of women engineers that shared their stories about breaking into the field, and visited several booths at an expo to learn more about nuclear engineering. Some of the highlights of the day included learning about the rising industry of nuclear energy and how uranium is a much cleaner source of energy for the earth, exploring the ins and outs of nuclear medicine, including using a portable ultrasound machine to scan household objects, and getting into some shenanigans with Bucky Badger! Our young women did an excellent job representing BMHS and engaging in the event. Thank you to Katie McQueen, BMHS Math Teacher for coordinating and chaperoning this experience for our students.

SRO Appreciation Day

Thank you to our three school resource officers from the City of Beloit Police Department, Officer Terrell English, Officer Tala-Marie Cornell, and Officer Christopher Hoefs. We thank them for their continuous collaboration and support of our students and staff. #BeloitProud
