SDB Featured on ARC Video

Our partnership with American Reading Company (ARC) ensures our students are learning and performing at the highest level. We start foundational and lifelong learning with our littlest scholars. Our kindergarten students are learning to integrate their newfound knowledge into everyday conversations. Gaston Teachers Brooke Ferger, Suzanne Claas, and Kristin Hosey, share the success our students are having in and out of the classroom in a featured ARC video.

Latino Studies Class

Students in Mr. Walker's Latino Studies class are creating documentaries as part of PBS Wisconsin’s project, "Wisconsin Hometown Stories: Beloit." Students conducted research for their documentaries by visiting the library and archives of the Wisconsin Historical Society. Each documentary will be approximately 5 minutes in length and will focus on aspects of the Latino experience in Beloit and Wisconsin. We can't wait to see the completed documentaries!
