Lancer Academy CLC Program
McNeel was awarded a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant beginning the 2017-2018 school year. The grant has funded our Lancer Academy (before and after school) program and all of its activities. With the generosity of this grant the Lancer Academy is offered at NO COST for families! First Priority will be given to those students who are below grade level according to most recent MAP scores in Reading and Math and by teacher recommendation.
The goal of the Lancer Academy is to provide that extra academic enrichment piece to students in need through a hands on learning approach. Our focus has been on service learning, literacy and mathematics extensions, environmental literacy, nutritional education, fine arts and regular physical activity. Each of these programs help build skills in STEAM.
Students who attended the Lancer Academy regularly are also invited to attend various field trips throughout the school year.
If you are interested in your student participating in this program please contact Mrs. Najera or the Main Office.
