    • BMHS Summer School
      June 22-July 31
      Summer school at Beloit Memorial High School contains credit recovery classes, initial credit classes and non-credit enrichment. All for free!   Initial credit classes allow students to get some credits completed now in order to allow more time in the school year for other electives.  Those classes include:  Creative Writing, Pre-Algebra, Phy-Ed, Strength and Conditioning, Health, 2D Art, and Exploring Technology.  Enrichment (non-credit) courses include additional Strength and Conditioning, Advanced Placement Boot Camp, and ACT Prep Class.
      Registration is online.

    • School Celebrations
      The public is invited to join staff, students and families for school celebrations before McLenegan and Morgan close this summer. The celebrations will be held:

      McLenegan - Sunday, May 17, 1:00-3:00 pm
      Morgan - Thursday, May 28, 6:30-8:00 pm

    • Keep Learning this Summer!
       
      In addition to the School District of Beloit summer school program, several organizations have additional activities and programming available for families this summer:
       
      Beloit Boys and Girls Club Summer Program
      Five 2-week sessions.  First session begins June 8.

      Beloit Public Library
      Students age 11 to 14 can participate in the Beloit Public Library’s Summer Battle of the Books, set for July 18. More information is available online.  Even more activities are listed on the library's website.

    • Register Now for 2015-16 School Year 4K
      The Central Enrollment Office is taking enrollment applications for the 2015-2016 school year for students going into 4K and Kindergarten.  To speed up your registration, you may want to have handy:  child's birth certificate, immunizations record, proof of residency (such as lease or utility bill), and parent/guardian identification.  
      Schools with 4K and 5K kindergarten are:  Converse, Gaston, Hackett, Merrill, Robinson and Todd.   Please click here for more information.

    • Youth Football Camp
      Open to athletes entering grades 4-8 
      July 6-July 9
      1:00-3:00 pm
      Beloit Memorial High School
      This camp will be a non-padded camp. Athletic wear and football cleats are recommended.  Athletes will go through a combine, there will be fundamental sessions at every practice, as well as competitions and games. 
      Cost: $30 includes T-shirt, make checks payable to Gridiron Club. Mail to or drop off at Beloit Memorial High School, Rodney Wedig, 1225 Fourth Street, Beloit, WI 53511.

    • Soccer Camps 
      WIAA State Competitors, the BMHS Soccer Team, is offering three different 4-day soccer camps for area youth:  June 15-18, August 3-6, and August 10-13.  Time frames depend on grade level.  Please click here for the registration form with more details.

    Jazz Band Hears News Headed for the Big Apple!
    The Beloit Memorial High School Jazz Band 1 learns they have earned an invitation to Essentially Ellington for 2015 - the fourth time in a row for the high school. It is THE premier, national high school jazz band competition and music festival held at the Lincoln Center in New York City each May.  Click here to view the video of student reactions as they hear the big news from their director, Chris Behrens.
     
    Father Daughter Dance Annual Father Daughter Dance
    The Annual Father Daughter Dance in Beloit, sponsored by the Beloit School District, has evolved into a major community event and family tradition for many. This year, over 750 individuals attended the event! For more information and pictures of the dance, please click here
