    • Fitness Center Grand Opening
      Join us in celebrating the opening of the new fitness center at Beloit Memorial High School:  Tuesday, August 19, 5:00-6:00 p.m.  A short program will kick off the event, including a few words from BMHS Principal Dr. Tina Salzman and Football Coach Rodney Wedig.  Refreshments will be served following the program.

    • Volunteers Needed 
      Hackett Elementary School is looking for volunteers to help with the Community Build of their playground. No experience necessary! There will be a supervisor from the Playground company that will give instructions and do a final inspection upon completion. The big day is Friday, August 15. Volunteers can sign up for one of these time frames: 8am-12:00pm, 12:00-5:00 or all day 8:00am-5:00pm.   If you are able to volunteer, please email Kelly Berg at kberg@sdb.k12.wi.us.

    • Golfing Golf for Hockey!
      Join us Saturday, August 9 for a golf outing at Glen Erin Golf Course, including raffles, dinner, a silent auction and awards for best team plays of the day.  Check-in is from Noon to 1 pm, with a shotgun start at 1.  To sign up, please fill out this registration form and follow mailing instructions at the bottom of the form.  Proceeds benefit the Purple Knights Boys Hockey, Fury Girls Hockey, Jr. Fury Girls Hockey, and Beloit Youth Hockey Association.

    • Bus Drivers Wanted
      Durham School Services is hiring bus drivers - no experience necessary (they will train new drivers).  $12/hour with a guaranteed 4 hours per day.  Extra work is available, as are 401k and insurance options.  There are large bus routes and smaller ones.  No sitter?  No problem - you can bring your children to work!  Stop by the Durham office at 1409 Manchester Street in Beloit to fill out your application.  Questions?  Call 608-362-2628 and ask for Amy.

    • Knight Run Fundraiser
       
      Challenge yourself in a 5K run or enjoy a 1-mile walk in Leeson Park while raising money for the Beloit Memorial High School Cross Country team.  Awards will go for both the run and the walk.  The event will take place on August 8, starting at 7 pm.  Registration opens at 6 pm.  Sign-up is open through July 31.  To access the registration form, please click here.

      In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, and fiscally responsible, we are eliminating most of our fax machine lines in favor of scanning to email, effective this September 2014.     Converse School Converse Named Wisconsin Spotlight School
    Converse Elementary School was recently notified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) that it will be one of a small handful of schools to be featured as a 2014-15 Spotlight School for other schools in the state to observe and emulate.   Click here to read more.
     
     
    BMHS Senior Awards High School Seniors Accept Over $4.2 Million in Scholarships

    BMHS Essentially Ellington

    Jazz Band Receives National Honor
    The Beloit Memorial Jazz Band, under the direction of Chris Behrens just received their invitation to participate at Essentially Ellington. The nations most prestigious High School Jazz Band competition and festival held at the Lincoln Center in New York.
