• Cross Country State Championship

      Thanks to a an amazing performance at Sectionals, two of our BMHS students will be the first Lady Knights ever to head to State for Cross Country!  Brenda Hernandez, a senior, came in 1st with sophomore Bailey Cronin coming in a close third.  Both will represent us at the State Championship this Saturday, November 1, in Wisconsin Rapids (meet begins at 2:50 p.m.)  Good luck, ladies!

    • Daylight Saving Time Ends November 2
      Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour before bed on November 1.  Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2014.

        There will be no school on Monday, January 19th, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday.  
        A day later in the year will be added to the school calendar to make up for this day off of school, to be announced as soon as it is scheduled.

    • Drama Day
      Students in grades 4-8 are invited to spend a day with experienced BMHS theatre students playing fun and exciting drama games and rehearsing short skits that will be performed on the BMHS stage for all of the parents at the end of the day.  This will take place on a no-school day:  Friday, November 14, 8am-3:30 pm.  Cost is $25, which includes a mid-morning snack, pizza lunch and certificate of participation.  To sign-up, please download this registration form and mail it in with payment before Nov. 12.

    • Moonlight Bowling!
      Orchestra Fundraiser
      bowling lane A night of bowling fun will help the BMHS Orchestra get to New York City this April to participate in the Heritage Festival.  The fundraiser will be November 15, 2014 at Diamond Lanes with choice of bowling times:  6-8 pm or 8:30-10:30 p.m.  The cost is $10 for three games (Scotch Doubles), 50/50 raffle, and silent auction.  To sign-up, please contact Hannah Filipiak, Orchestra Director, at 361-3037 or

    • Fax Changes
      In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, and fiscally responsible, we are eliminating most of our fax machine lines in favor of scanning to email, effective this September 2014. Each school and department will have a dedicated email. For a list of which fax lines will remain active, and for a list of the emails assigned to each school and department, please click here

    Converse School Converse Named Wisconsin Spotlight School
    Converse Elementary School was recently notified by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) that it will be one of a small handful of schools to be featured as a 2014-15 Spotlight School for other schools in the state to observe and emulate.   Click here to read more.
    BMHS Senior Awards High School Seniors Accept Over $4.2 Million in Scholarships
    Beloit Memorial High School Seniors enjoyed a special evening devoted to recognizing their achievements, including acceptance of millions of dollars in scholarships.  To read Principal Johnson's remarks, learn about the other achievements celebrated and view pictures from the event, please click here.

    Jazz Band Receives National Honor
    The Beloit Memorial Jazz Band, under the direction of Chris Behrens just received their invitation to participate at Essentially Ellington. The nations most prestigious High School Jazz Band competition and festival held at the Lincoln Center in New York. For BMHS this is the third year in a row and the fourth year total.  Click here to read more.
