    • Bus Drivers Wanted
      Durham School Services is hiring bus drivers - no experience necessary (they will train new drivers).  $12.30/hour with a guaranteed 4 hours per day.  Extra work is available, as are 401k, insurance options, safety and attendance bonus. No nights or weekends unless you choose to work. Off when your children are off.  There are large bus routes and smaller ones.  No sitter?  No problem - you can bring your children to work!  Stop by the Durham office at 1409 Manchester Street in Beloit to fill out your application.  Questions?  Call 608-362-2628 and ask for Amy.

    • Free Meals for Kids
       
      Sun logo The US Department of Agriculture has partnered with our community to provide free meals (breakfast & lunch) to kids all summer long.  There are no income requirements and any child age 18 and under may come to eat.   Please click here for a list of the locations and hours.

      In addition to the School District of Beloit summer school program, several organizations have additional activities and programming available for families this summer:
       
      Beloit Boys and Girls Club Summer Program
      Five 2-week sessions.  First session begins June 8.

      Beloit Public Library
      Students age 11 to 14 can participate in the Beloit Public Library’s Summer Battle of the Books, set for July 18. More information is available online.  Even more activities are listed on the library's website.

    Graduates Graduation Rates Leading the Pack
    The Beloit Graduation Rate Statistics Released by DPI. Beloit Memorial increased the 2014 graduation rate by 8.4% to 91.2%, higher than the state average, and lead the pack in almost every category.  Read more here.  Data was presented to the Board of Education; the powerpoint (in PDF format) is available here.
