GIRLS SWIMMING: Missing some swimmers due to injuries and illness, Beloit Memorial’s girls swimming team fell to visiting Whitewater 106-58 on Tuesday.

Beloit’s Camilla Castaneda did win both the 200 free in 2:29.5 and the 500 free (6:44.27)

The Tide’s Serinity Buchanan was second in the 50 free (31.12) and 100 backstroke (1:20.75). Cora Brandt took second in the 100 butterfly (1:28.14 and Brielle Watkins was second in the 100 free (1:11.98)

Beloit’s 200-yard medley relay team of Buchanan, Amarie McQuitter, Brandt and Watkins finished second in 2:30.53. The 200 free relay of Brandt, McQuitter, Zoe Ziemba and Castaneda was also second (2:10.68). The 400 free relay of Brandt, Watkins, Buchanan and Castaneda finished second in 4:51.71.
