Hackett Elementary Teacher Cindy Weber Named Rotary Teacher of the Month
BELOIT—Hackett Elementary School teacher Cindy Weber has been named Beloit Rotary Teacher of the Month.
Weber has been an educator for 27 years. Twenty-five of those years have been spent in the School District of Beloit and she has been at Hackett Elementary School for six years.
She teaches grades 4K through 3 at Hackett.
Weber earned a bachelor’s degree in special education, learning disabilities from the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater in 1994. She earned a master’s degree as a reading specialist from UW-Whitewater in 1999 and she earned her regular education 1—6 license in 2003.
She is a member of the International Reading Association. She attended the Teachers College in New York and she attended online seminars and participated in book studies for reading development.
She has written three EcoLab grant applications for the School District of Beloit.
She became a teacher to help young people on their journey to be successful in their lives and careers.
“I believe that all children have a right to learn and (I) chose this profession to make a difference in the lives of students so that they may be successful adults,” Weber said.
