Positive Voices: Video Series

We began sharing personal stories and testimonials from 32 staff, students, families, community and business leaders, volunteers, and advocates. We thank them for sharing their support, thank yous, and appreciation for our district staff and students.

Herb Kohl Educational Foundation $10,000 Initiative Scholarship

Earlier this year, our Beloit Learning Academy was selected to award a 2024 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation $10,000 Initiative Scholarship to a graduating high school student. The intent of the Herb Kohl Student Initiative Scholarship is to recognize students putting forth extraordinary effort to do their best and have overcome significant obstacles and adversity. Congratulations to Senior Mario Flores-Culin!

The SpongeBob Musical

Our talented High School Students performed several shows of their Spring Musical - The SpongeBob Musical! They rehearsed for several months to pull off an awesome, fun, and entertaining musical for all ages.

March 2024 All-Stars

Each quarter we honor and recognize our School District of Beloit All-Stars. These individuals are nominated by their peers for their passion, work, and dedication to our students and families.

2024 Regional Champions

Our Boys Basketball Team carried themselves all the way to the playoffs and brought home a Regional Championship for the first time in 10 years. They showed great sportsmanship, determination, teamwork, and passion all season. We are #BeloitProud of them and thank our community for the continuous support of our students.

Hackett - Read Your Heart Out

Hackett Elementary hosted their annual 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. This event engages family and community members as guest readers, in order to build community partnerships and celebrate Black History Month. Students were able to interact with different members of the community, learn about their occupations and contributions to our city, and hear some great stories that amplify black voices, history, and excellence.

BMHS Academic Decathlon Team

Our Beloit Memorial High School Academic Decathlon Team is Headed to Nationals! Earlier this month, they competed at the State Competition in Green Bay and are moving on to represent the state of Wisconsin in the Large School Team division. Congratulation, we are #BeloitProud of all of you!

Girls Volleyball

Middle school volleyball concluded their season on Monday, March 4 at Beloit Memorial High School. JV Aldrich won (3-0) 25-17, 25-18, 15-8 and Varsity Aldrich won (2-1) 25-19, 25-10, 15-5. Thank you to the student-athletes, families, and coaches for another exciting season ! 

Jazz in the Meadows Competition

The BMHS Jazz Bands traveled to Rolling Meadows, Illinois, this past Saturday to perform at "Jazz in the Meadows" - one of the largest Jazz Competitions in the Midwest, featuring 55 schools and 88 ensembles from five different states. The Jazz Ensemble competed in the "2nd Band Division" against other schools with more than one ensemble. Congratulations on our 2nd place recognition overall. Jareth Martinez (trombone); Carter Fallin (piano); and Alfredo Bautista (tenor sax/clarinet) all received Outstanding Soloist Awards. The Jazz Orchestra competed in Division 3A (second largest based on school enrollment) and finished 1st overall. Receiving Outstanding Soloist Awards were: Sarah Ramsden (Baritone Sax); Miles Wisdom (Piano); Alex Schulte (Trombone). The BMJO then performed at the evening Finals Concert against 1A, 2A, and 4A winners and were named Grand Champions for the 5th time in program history (2017, 2018, 2019, 2023, 2024).Congratulations to all the jazz students for their continued hard work and dedication!
