An entrepreneur and supporter of youth entrepreneurs, Omar Finley, will be the features speaker at the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Breakfast set for 8:30 a.m. on Monday at the Eclipse Center, 3 Eclipse Center.
Finley, along with his wife, Kimberly, founded Listening Tree Bookstore in Decatur, Georgia. The children’s bookstore is committed to Black authorship. The Finleys also founded the Young Entrepreneurs Program (YEP), which encourages young people to become business owners and provides basic tools for them to start businesses.
The theme of the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Breakfast is “Be the Change.” The event is being held to honor the memory of the civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
