The Wisconsin DPI announced last Wednesday that nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Teacher Fellowship and Principal Leadership awards. Nominations can be submitted online at https://www.kohleducation.org.

Each award recipient receives $6,000, and their school will also receive a matching $6,000 grant.

Principal Leadership Award nominations are due on Friday, Oct. 3, and Teacher Leadership Award nominations are due on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

To be considered, nominees must: currently teach or serve as a principal in a Wisconsin PK–12 school, plan to continue in their current role for at least one more year and be nominated by a parent, student, fellow educator, school administrator, or community member.
