Beloit Memorial girls swimming team hosts three teams
BELOIT — Beloit Memorial’s girls swimming team entertained three other teams Tuesday, competing in three dual meets at the Richard Vogel Natatorium on campus.
Beloit was edged by Platteville/Lancaster 86-78, fell to Edgerton/Evansville 89-67 and defeated PSC Aquatics 101-44.
Beloit’s lone first place was by junior Aalayja Listenbee-Fleming in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:21.56.
The Purple Tide finished second in the 200 freestyle relay with Cora Brandt, Camilla Casaneda, Brielle Watkins and Aalayja Listenbee-Fleming clocked in 2:08.93.
Beloit also picked up a third in the 200 medley relay with Serinity Buchanan, Listenbee-Fleming, Brandt and Amarie McQuitter finishing in 2:22.13. The quartet of Castaneda, Buchanan, Watkins and Victoria Munoz finished thidr in the 400 free relay (5:11.21).
Listenbee-Fleming finished second in the 200 IM (2:40.60). Castaneda finished second in the 500 freestyle (6:44.52) and third in the 200 free (2:32.81). Teammate Brielle Watkins was fourth in the 200 free (2:41.83).
Beloit’s Brandt was third in the 50 free (31.69) as well as the 100 butterfly (1:2475).
Buchanan finished fourth in the 100 backstroke (1:25.20).
