She earned her Master of Science degree — counseling emphasis, from the University of Wisconsin — Whitewater in 2004. She earned director of special education and pupil services certification in May 2021 from the University of Wisconsin — Eau Claire.

She has been a member of the Wisconsin Association of College Admission Counseling, the Wisconsin Education Association Council, the Beloit Education Association and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

She was department chair of student services at Beloit Memorial High School for seven years. She was BMHS new staff mentor for school counselors as well as school counselor internship supervisor.

She was honored with the Hometown Heroes Award from the Angel Museum in 2010. She received the Ubuntu Award, honoring educators and supporters of the Beloit Coalition of Churches in 2024. She received the Pre-College Program Award from UW-Whitewater in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

Snow credits her family for guiding her toward her career in education.

“My parents were instrumental in directing me into the field of education,” she said. “They helped me to understand and recognize my purpose. They taught me how to go after my dreams and set goals, developing my drive and dedication to helping others do the same.”

She said students need someone who will support them and that is what she tries to do as a counselor.

“As an educator, I hope that I have been a champion for students by providing them with opportunities and support for greater success and awareness of their possibilities,” Snow said. “My dedication and commitment to students have been my driving force for the last 20 years.”
