The School District of Beloit Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Willie Garrison II have released the following statement today:

“The School District of Beloit Board of Education has accepted the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Willie E. Garrison II, effective December 31, 2025. 

‘It has been an honor to serve as superintendent of the School District of Beloit,’ said Dr. Garrison. ‘I am proud of what we have accomplished together over the past three years, particularly the achievements of our students. I also want to thank our outstanding staff, families, and community members for their support of our schools. With mutual respect, the board and I have agreed to my departure at the end of this year." 

Board of Education President Tia Johnson said, "We thank Dr. Garrison for his time with the district and wish him well as he takes this next step in his future career opportunities."

The Board of Education will begin the process of identifying the district’s next superintendent in the coming weeks and will ensure a smooth transition.
