4K Kindergarten

The School District of Beloit understands and recognizes the importance of a positive 4K learning experience. It sets a child up for future success and adequately prepares them for kindergarten. Research shows and demonstrates that 4K helps children develop positive social skills, early literacy, and math skills and ensures that they begin kindergarten prepared and ready to learn.

Our 4K teachers create engaging learning environments for our littlest scholars who promote social and emotional growth and academic success.

4K is a full-day program taught by DPI-certified teachers.  SDB uses fun, engaging, hands-on learning to prepare students for their future education. The daily activities develop early math and reading foundational skills while cultivating their language and cognitive skills. Art, music, and PE are integrated into the school day. Our social-emotional curriculum fosters positive social skills, self-image, and citizenship.

Students must be 4 by September 1st to be eligible for enrollment; there is no early entry into 4K.

For more information, refer to this article in Mind/Shift.
