ACP Opportunities and Events for Grades 6-12

Purple Knight Graduation

Academic and Career Planning, or ACP, is a process whereby students create their interests and information-based vision for life success through self-interest exploration, career awareness and exploration in both the workforce and educational sectors, and the development of career planning skills.

Students initiate this process in the 6th grade and continue it throughout their middle and high school years. It utilizes the KNOW, EXPLORE, PLAN, and GO processes as outlined by the ACP framework from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

The ACP experience culminates with an individual portfolio of skills and artifacts that each student has developed on this journey with the support of teachers, counselors, and other adult practitioners. Each senior will present their final portfolio to a panel as part of their graduation requirement.
