Technologically Innovative and Academically Excellent
The Beloit Memorial High School Business Department teaches
fifteen different courses. The courses are designed to challenge
students academically and at the same time give them a completive
advantage with real-world on-the-job experience.
The Beloit Memorial High School Business Department features
three computer labs, and a computer in all other Business Department
classrooms. Students also have the
opportunity to participate with the Future Business Leaders of
America (FBLA) organization and learn leadership and people skills
while positively contributing to the Beloit area through community
service. FBLA also challenges students by giving them the
opportunity to compete at the Regional, State and National
level(s).
Business
Occupations CO-OP
The Beloit Memorial High School Business Department has a
Business Occupations CO-OP course. By taking this course a
student may work at an approved job site to receive on-the-job
training in the business/office career of their choice.
The purpose of the Business Occupations CO-OP is
not to merely allow students to work during school, but to
supplement a rigorous high school curriculum. The Business
Occupations CO-OP is most comparable to a University/College of
Business's internship program(s). A
student may take Business Occupations CO-OP by taking the following
