WELCOME!

The School District of Beloit is using Investigations in Number, Data and Space® to advance the teaching and learning of mathematics for all elementary school students

Our Goal: To help all students K-5 acquire mathematical knowledge, skill, and confidence.

This site is designed designed as a resource for parents, teachers, and administrators. Everyone can help create the necessary opportunities to enhance, reinforce, and challenge the math skills of students in the School District of Beloit grades Kindergarten through fifth.

Families will be able to stay up-to-date with their child's math classes and stay informed as to what is expected for each unit. Families can also learn how to best support their child with Investigations. By staying informed, families can work with teachers to make sure all students understand the skills and concepts taught to them. We hope you find the tips, hints and resources useful.

Teachers across the grade levels can use this site to work in-sync with other teachers at the elementary schools and support other educators as they implement Investigations to engage students with mathematics.

This site provides professional development and resources that support the teaching and learning of mathematics for teachers, administrators and families.

ABOUT JODEAN GRUNOW,
Math Consultant for SDB

that teaching math was fun and easy because I JUST followed the textbook.
Now I believe, that to truly teach math with understanding for my students is very hard.  I have to put a lot of time and effort into knowing what to teach and be prepared for each lesson that I teach to my students.

W. Martin, Grade 4 Math Teacher
