(No School for Juniors or Seniors)
BMHS will be administering the PreACT Secure to all 9th and 10th grade BMHS students on Thursday, March 21st, 2024. Ensuring that our students do their best to show what they know is important so we can best meet the needs of our students and guide decision-making for Beloit Memorial High School academics.
The PreACT Secure is a multiple-choice assessment that students take on their Chromebook. It helps 9th and 10th grade students better prepare for the ACT test that is given to Junior students each spring, and it is used to show students' progress towards meeting the College and Career Readiness Standards. The four sections included in the PreACT are English, Math, Reading, and Science.
Please make sure that all 9th and 10th grade students are at school by 7:45 am on Thursday, March 21st. Also, please reinforce the importance of your student doing their own best and help them come to school rested and ready to show what they know.

Forward Exam
April 18, 2024
On April 18th, 2024, all 10th grade students will complete the Forward Exam, which is a Social Studies-based multiple-choice test. This will occur during a modified schedule. All students will be present in the building, with 10th grade students reporting to their testing room during an extended Flex period.
Students not in school on the scheduled testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window (April 26th).
Attached is an Informational Brochure for Families which gives more information about the assessment including its purpose, what scores will be provided, and how the scores will be used. The Forward Exam measures the knowledge and skills your student(s) should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Their performance on the assessment will not affect any of their current grades. Please encourage your student to take the test seriously and do the best they can.
If you have any questions, please contact your student's building principal.
Thank you,
